Three problems of the Russian electro-energetic complex
It is possible to mark three most important problems in the Russian electro-energetic complex:
– The substantial wear and tear of equipment;
– The high electrical equipment import volume;
– The imperfection of legislation (in many cases).
The quantity of electrical equipment which has been working more than its exploitation term consists in Russia more than 60%.
The most portion of Russian transformers was introduced still in 1940—1970 and the part of outmoded transformer facilities consists in Russia 20%.
Thurthermore, nowdays in Russia more than 70% of power transformers, switches and gas-insulated switchgears are imported.
The reason of the high import volume is small assortment of electrical equipment proposed by the Russian producers. Also the quality of the Russian equipment is lower than in foreign companies.
To diversify assortment and upgrade quality of electrical equipment Russian plants need substantial investments.
